These are two entrances to private gardens in via dei serragli that I pass in the morning. The giardini torregiani is immense and I found the marble plaque interesting. It says the first organized high fashion, di alta moda, took place inside as it was done at the home of the designer named on the stone.
The second just made me think that that gate is holding the garden inside and it seems to be creeping out, little by little. Too intense considering it is my morning walk? There are many plaques like those in Florence, especially in the oltrarno were many artists and writers lived. More photos in the next few days. Ann
